GOODBYE EARL late scratch Race 9 Churchill 11/29/2020. I saw the video when they had just taken the saddle off in the paddock. Anyone know what happened to her?

She was scratched by the vet. Might have had a fever or something.

THE SOUND is a full brother to G1 Winner SMOOTH ROLLER. They also have a 2yo full brother MAXIM MOMENT, whom finished 3rd in his only start on 11/28/2020 at Gulf Stream Park West.

2yo colt ESCAPE ROUTE was claimed for $40,000 from Gary and Mary West in his debut race. Came back with a nice win next start in Race 10 at Del Mar above.

This colt could be very nice and appears to be an astute claim for the new owners.

Yes, I had noticed that in his PPs....I hope you are right and he does well with the new owners. The Wests did the same thing with Maximum Security, you may remember. I think a $16k maiden claiming race in that case, but the pedigree wasn't as good. Nobody was paying attention to New Year's Day at that point. They don't seem to be very good judges of what they have.

And I also found myself leaning hard to the right as they went past the wire, as if that was any help to ESCAPE ROUTE! Ha!

Reminds me of General Quarters who was claimed from the Ramsey's in his first race for 20K. General Quarters went on to win 3 graded stakes races including two grade 1 races.

Brooklyn Strong won the G2 Remson today (race #4)! He's a son of Wicked Strong, making Hard Spun his grandsire. First graded stakes winner for Wicked Strong. Second stakes win in a row for Brooklyn Strong. His record is now 4-3-0-1.

Looks like Hard Spun is not only a wonderful sire but is also a sire of sires. The Danzig line is so big. They not only dominate Australia with Danehill but also much of Europe. Then in America, there is War Front as well as Hard Spun.

Yes, and I don't understand why Wicked Strong got shipped off to Pennsylvania after only one crop to race. They didn't even give him a chance. I wonder if they are second-guessing that decision now. Brooklyn Strong sold for only $5K. Unreal.
