I like the symbol Tweenhills has for Kameko. It's a speedy turtle!

Beautiful calligraphy and illustrations for each horse. Kind of Book of Kells-inspired. :D

King Zachary (Curlin) will stand in Texas for 2021. He was purchased by Hell On Heels Stable.

Tiz Mischief (Into Mischief) will also stand in Texas for 2021 and was purchased by the same group.

Malahini (Curlin) was purchased by Hacienda Los Nietos, a farm in Puerto Rico.

I'm hoping his foals get better at 3 because if Runhappy fails its pretty much goodbye to another sire line in the US. Competitive Edge looked promising last year, getting 4 SWs but has 0 SWs in 2020. I know he is from the Raise A Native line but its nice to see some differences when so many horses are inbred to the same couple horses.

Flanders wrote: Fri Oct 23, 2020 8:48 pm I don't think its a true lease. The Turkish Jockey Club owns him and is standing him at Lane's End. A lease would be, Lane's End pays X amount to lease him and the Turkish JC only gets that money. I think the TJC is going to get the majority of the money. They'll probably give Lane's End X amount of free breedings for caring for and advertising the stallion.

I think its a great decision on the Turkish Jockey Club's part to keep ownership. They don't buy these stallions to make money in Turkey, they buy them to improve the breed. So you send the stallion back to the US for a couple seasons, make some money, roll that money back into buying new stallions. If he doesn't pan out in the US, you send him back to Turkey. Its a "have your cake and eat it too" scenario.
If that's the case then I'd say WinStar definitely wasn't interested.
Here is an article from a couple days ago explaining about Daredevil's return and how unique the deal was to return him. Its pretty interesting, that they were thinking they may have to swap stallions, though they don't name names.

I don't know if they announced it when he was retired but Bravazo is going to stand at Calumet for 6k with discounts for multiple mares and quality mares.

Also interested to know which operation would have been 2nd to Lane's End in terms of getting him back "The two most impressive pitches came from Lane’s End and a rival only recently back in the stallion business"... who would that be? Calumet?

That's the first reasonably priced stallion fee at Calumet (excluding good ole English Channel who is a bargain at his typical fee), so maybe
Calumet is finally interested in drawing in mares from other breeders. I wish Bravazo well, and Calumet, who is still searching another stallion to compliment
English Channel. Hightail did more with a handful of covers over three or four years than the rest of the roster (minus EC) did combined.

BH Stallion register says that Valor Farm stallions Congaree and Stonesider have been pensioned.

Grasshopper is also listed as a "former stallion" on the Valor Farm website.

I looked him up on the Jockey Club and he was gelded. The last year he covered mares was 2019.

Caracaro retired to Crestwood because he is a son of Uncle Mo. Will stand for 6.5k.
