This market is hard to call, but I also think Monomoy Girl is going to go for more. I just don't know how much more. Let me be crazy and say $7.5m. Rushing Fall will be in the 3-4 million range. Its a game I play, can I guess the prices of the big mares.

Good call! 9.5 million

Well you know your collectors. She was a great racemare, but I just have questions given she tended towards tying up which can be a genetic issue and her trainer.

One of the racing owners of Midnight Bisou, they raced her under Allen Racing (in partnership with everyone else). Definitely not who I thought would buy her but I think its wonderful. That made me really happy.
Here is an article from last year:
https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing ... ight-bisou

"She loves peppermints," Allen said. "She's just our little girl. She's the happiest horse you could imagine."
Am thrilled! Which farm does he board his mares?

Has Spendthrift been a buyer of *special* mares this much before?

I do wonder who takes over Spendthrift. Does Hughes have children interested? Haven't heard much about them.

Definitely not the worst choice for her.

It would be cool to see her eventually sent to Omaha Beach! They had a run in when they were both boarded at WinStar in 2019, and there’s a picture floating around on Twitter of them together :)

Spendthrift Farm President Eric Gustavson is Hughes son-in-law.

No. They weren't even on my radar for mares this range. I don't want to do a super deep dive into prices but looking at the past 5 years, the most expensive broodmare/broodmare prospect they bought was 750k which the vast majority under 500k.

Maybe they are opening up another microshare business- my broodmare.

The only big mare is Beholder that they own. Wonder if they would run MG one more season

Neither would I with a 5 year old mare that has already had issues staying in training last year. Then again Hughes is rightly living in the moment.
