Depends if they submitted the appropriate request to the Jockey Club that she can't race anymore. But I highly doubt whoever buys her would race her again anyway. 18. TRANSFERRED AS RETIRED FROM RACING

1. The Certificate of Foal Registration;
2. A completed Transferred as Retired from Racing form bearing notarized signatures of both the transferee/transferee's agent and the transferor/transferor's agent;
3. A set of four color photographs of the horse (front, both sides, and rear views) clearly showing the color and the markings (or lack of markings) on the head, legs, and body; and
4. Any further evidence and assurances as The Jockey Club may require.
B. Upon receipt in the Registry Office, the respective Certificate of Foal Registration will be stamped "Retired from Racing" and will be returned to the transferee/transferee's agent. A copy of the stamped Certificate of Foal Registration will be made available on The Jockey Club Registry website at www.registry.jockeyclub.com.
C. Notations upon a Certificate of Foal Registration such as "not to be raced" without the requirements set forth in rule 18A will not cause the Registry Office to record the horse as Retired from Racing. Submission to The Jockey Club of any such Certificate of Foal Registration may cause a Corrected Certificate of Foal Registration to be issued.
D. Certificates of Foal Registration for Thoroughbreds that were recorded by the Registry Office as Sold Without Pedigree prior to March 2013 shall remain cancelled.

They wont clip them. Most of them are going to be sent to a farm where they are going to spend the majority of their time outside and its starting to get cold.

Jesus. Really? No let's definitely cut off all their winter coat right before winter just so they get to wear a coat all winter which will adversely affect their ability to grow back a winter coat just for the show of a sales ring. Euros are smarter- they show the weanlings as they are, with a good brush.

Sorry for asking. I’ve never had any adverse effects from wearing a turn out blanket in CanadaJesus. Really? No let's definitely cut off all their winter coat right before winter just so they get to wear a coat all winter which will adversely affect their ability to grow back a winter coat just for the show of a sales ring. I wonder in the current climate. Neither comes from really top class production female families and their sires are not considered top class either. It just seems there is bit of governor on the prices this year as no one is sure if the yearling market is going to bounce back- at this point the decrease in buyers acrosss all ranges is probably more of an issue than just the current COVID related economy.
Well, never underestimate the ego of the ultra-wealthy.

This market is hard to call, but I also think Monomoy Girl is going to go for more. I just don't know how much more. Let me be crazy and say $7.5m. Rushing Fall will be in the 3-4 million range. Its a game I play, can I guess the prices of the big mares.

Apparently, Chuck Allen bought Midnight Bisou. Apparently, he was already a partner in Midnight Bisou, so technically, he was paying somewhat less than a dollar when bidding against others.

One of the racing owners of Midnight Bisou, they raced her under Allen Racing (in partnership with everyone else). Definitely not who I thought would buy her but I think its wonderful. That made me really happy.
