Sad to see Balance in there, I loved her when she raced. Maybe I can convince the farm manager to try and buy her, but I don’t think it will matter :(

I doubt she is going to go for much. She is 17, hasn't produced much of anything and is cataloged halfway through the sale. She RNA'd for $390,000 in Session 1 in 2017. I would be truly shocked if she got a bid of $150,000, especially because of the way sales have been going this year.

I agree. I was thinking under a $100,000 for her this year. I just don’t think I can convince the farm to buy an older mare that hasn’t produced anything. Hopefully they’ll just pull her out of the sale. I see Sis City, Last Song, and Magnificence are all far back in the catalog too.

I am very worried about these older girls getting dumped.

Impressive maiden winner Wasp (American Pharoah) was just dropped into the FT sale now too.

Wonder if Unicorn Girl scratched because she’s also entered in the Keeneland sale

Maybe. Her weanling was also an out.

Keeneland doesn't have their outs listed yet. I went to check there as well before I posted earlier.

Yeah Keeneland has 670 outs now, including Lady Apple and Tonalist's Shape. Fasig Tipton had a few added today.

Bloodhorse ran this article today about Blended Citizen: https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing ... en-retired He is also an out.

Someone is looking to strike while the iron is hot.....
Authentic's dam, carrying a full sibling to him was just consigned last minute to Fasig Tipton:

Wonder how many Coolmore reps and affiliates will be bidding up the Justify weanlings today. Gotta have those big initial sales numbers to post in their stud ads

The first Justify weanling through the ring (hip #3) was an RNA at $300K.

Yes, just looking at results now. Interesting to see 3 of the first 4 unsold.

I am a big Rushing Fall fan. :D I noticed she has an update which includes she is now a broodmare prospect only versus a broodmare/racing prospect. I'm new to sales lingo. Is that a condition that is binding on the buyer, i.e. if they buy her, they can't race her?

Certainly looks like what peopple think their weanlings are worth are not what the buyers think. Part of it though is these breeders are willing to set too high reserves thinking they can do better as yearlings next year.
