Hayayakko(JPN)[2016C. King Kamehameha(JPN) x Marshmallow(JPN) by Kurofune(USA)], the world's first white-thoroughbred graded stakes winner, came back to the winner's circle in 14 months as he won beautifully the Brazil Cup (Listed) 2100m dirt at Tokyo on October 25th 2020. I guess that he will become a stallion. Shirayukihime family can be a game changer.

His dam is grey, which he clearly is as well. I wonder how hard it is to change a horse's color with the JC.

Sodashi(JPN), 2018 white filly. Kurofune(USA) x Buchiko(JPN)(white) by King Kamehameha(JPN), won the G3 Artemis Stakes 1600m turf at Tokyo in style to remain undefeated with 3 wins from 3 starts. She is for real!
Will she be the first white thoroughbred to become the G1 winner and/or the champion next?

Is Miss Amulet a pale bay or is she clipped? She looks Oxbow-ish and she has silver/blonde in her tail.

Also @ Rugby Girl, the link doesn't work.

Her dam is grey, I'm wondering if she is grey and just a horse that takes awhile to change. Otherwise I agree she has Oxbow's coloring.

If you go to that link, it almost looks like she has googles starting.

It's possible. I mean my namesake looked black when he was 2/3.

It's either gulastra plume, or remaining foal flaxen.
The foal flaxen is just a camouflage from being babies, that can take several years to grow out of the tail.
There isn't a known gene that causes gulastra plume, the grey appearance some horses get in their tails.

Thanks for posting this picture. Bohica is an absolutely stunning horse. One of the most unusual and beautiful Thoroughbreds I've ever seen.

With one of the most hilariously horrible names ever. I'm amazed it got past the SAJC.

Wysiwyg's name is the acronym What You See Is What You Get
Bohica's name is the acronym, Bend Over, Here It Comes Again.

I mean, it's right up there with the British-bred horse Filho da Puta (yes, really) and Australian bred Bogan Road.

Actually, I think he's a rabicano. Look at his hip. There's an area of obvious sun reflection across the point of his hip. Above that, on his croup, it's got a lot of white. A bay horse or bay with gulastra wouldn't necessarily have that look to it.

He is rabicano for sure, his off shoulder is even more so.

While I commend a few of these breeders in attempting to breed their coloured lines to stallions who either were runners, or sire runners, it just goes to show sadly how hard it is to breed any success from these non-racing bred lines. Heck, it's hard enough to have success with horses who are from running bred lines. Certainly an uphill battle.
I guess saving grace is their colour will always guarantee them a home regardless of their lack of success. Just expensive way to breed eventual saddle horses when you're breeding to Freud and the like trying to produce a runner.

An all white tail isn't a typical expression for rabicano. He looks to have darker tail hair grown in in his older racing photo so I'm still calling extended foal flaxen.
The white on the shoulder looks more somatic mutation. Rabicano *normally expresses at the top of the tail head, flanks, and in heavier expression over the barrel.
