Daring Tact -- Triple Tiara winner in Japan

Daring Tact(JPN), 2017F. Epiphaneia(JPN) x Daring Bird(JPN) by King Kamehameha(JPN), became the first filly to sweep the Japanese Triple Tiara whilst remaining undefeated as she won the G1 Shuka Sho 2000m turf at Kyoto under Kohei Matsuyama's cool hand urging on Oct 18th 2020.

Now I really want a "double triple" with Contrail winning the Kikuka Sho next week.

Yeah, I do think that Contrail will complete the Triple Crown next week, too.
And, hopefully, both of the undefeated TC winners will be headed to the Japan Cup and/or the Arima Kinen for the ultimate battle.
The winner between the two will be named the horse of the year.

She was a bit more nervous and handful than usual probably because of the layoff and overweight.
Fortunately she didn't stumble at the gate badly and her jockey kept calm and confident.
I would think that she is still young and will improve further next time out and as an older mare.

The first unbeaten Triple Tiara winner has a lot of stories.

Daring Tact(JPN) was bred by Hasegawa Bokujo, a tiny family-run farm in Hokkaido, which produces only about five horses a year.
Fumio Hasegawa purchased Daring Tact's dam Daring Bird(JPN) from the giant Shadai Farm for about US$ 35k at a broodmare sale back in 2014.
Daring Bird's 2017 (i.e. Daring Tact) was not sold at JRHA Sale in 2017 as a foal. In the following year, she was purchased by Makio Okada's Normandy Farm for only about US$ 100k as a yearling at JRHA Select Sale 2018.
