And at least when the connections say, 'he has nothing left to prove,' the horse did just win what is arguably the most important turf race in the world.
Eventually, people will forget that it was run in a bottomless bog, which compromised most of the better horses left in a race that also had multiple scratches due to an inadvertent feed contamination.

Yeah, I’m concerned that he won’t get a fair chance at stud, considering he isn’t by one of their own stallions and never actually raced for their core partnership. Besides American Triple Crown winners, Coolmore never sends any of their best mares to any of their own Freshman stallions.
His damsire is also Galileo, so would they send him any of their best mares to him if they could? Because we know he won’t be getting any of the Scat Daddy, Deep Impact, Pivotal, etc mares. Coolmore did breed Chrysanthemum to Frankel, resulting in Cunco, whose pedigree looks like a Christmas tree, so who knows.
I would suspect that any of the Galileo mares that are staying in Ireland to be covered by Coolmore stallions in 2021 will be going to No Nay Never (though he proved in 2020 that his fee needs to be slashed big time, he had a terrible year for a horse standing for 175,000) or the newly acquired Wootton Bassett.
I’d suspect we see him either standing under their National Hunt banner or sold back to France in the next 3-4 years.

He is standing at Coolmore Ireland and not their National Hunt division in 2021.

I could imagine him having a Gun Runner-esq season if he ran next year; should he do just that, it would only help his (and NOBLE MISSION'S!!) resumes.
Btw. McKinzie has been retired. I haven't seen it posted in here yet.

He also doesn’t have some hot pedigree - it’s not like Noble Mission or his sons are in huge demand.

He's a full to Frankel, right? Kind of hard to fault his pedigree.

Also pretty sure Noble Mission won’t be around for next year’s breeding season

Considering he has already had one colic surgery, I hope he makes it through the trip without another episode.

Yes, I’m well aware of that, but Noble Mission isn’t a hot commodity as a sire, and I hardly think breeders will bang their door downs for Code of Honor because of his sire being a full to FrankelBaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 12:34 am He's a full to Frankel, right?
