Zilpaterol is dangerous to horses as well, I'm guessing the contamination level was low enough to not cause the effects but its still scary for all involved.

It's fed to cattle to more efficiently increase size. It's all about more beef, faster.
Not good for horses.

This names all the horses that the O'Briens have had to scratch from various races tomorrow.

As recently as mid-August, this looked like it could be a smashing field for the Arc, now it's a little (a lot) less exciting. I know Gosden is already hedging his bets by saying that there is a "strong likelihood" that Enable will be beaten tomorrow due to ground conditions.
Poor Yutaka Take and the connections of Japan... though he hadn't been quite at his best all year, his new part owner had this race as his primary target since February.
Sentimentally, I want Enable to win, but if that can't happen, I'm going for the Sea the Stars exacta - Stradivarius/Raabihah

Omg the day is finally here...Feel like I’ve been waiting for this day all of 2020
With all O’Brien’s out all the G1s are suddenly looking a lot more interesting - especially the two year old races.
Enable is now hot hot hot but it’s still raining
In Swoop is apparently moving forward in the betting because the ground will suit him.
If ever a stayer is going to win the Arc...Strad’s stamina is going to come in handy today.
The nerves are real
But if a filly can win the Preakness that’s a good sign right?

Well, she finished 6th. Badly hampered in the stretch by Gold Trip. I can't believe they let Persian King set those crawling fractions, instead of having a proven stayer like Stradivarius go forward and set an honest pace. It turned into a sprint for the last 2f.
I am happy for Peter Brant though, listening to an interview with him this week, he's been in the game for decades, breeding Thunder Gulch, helping launch the stud career of Mr Prospector, among other things. Then he stepped away for twenty something years, now he's back and the Arc has always been a dream race for him to win.
Sottsass, Sistercharlie, and My Sister Nat, all siblings... what a family.
