So sorry to hear Mack still using LW as his trainer. Feel very bad for him and especially for the horse. With all of the new technology for screenings for bone bruising/ micro fractures it is sad that these type of catastrophic injuries still occur. You know this horse had ore- existing micro-fractures. I think the days of saying “ he/ she just took a bad step and that’s part of racing “ are over, or should be.

I agree. There's a horse racing page on Facebook that made a tribute to libertyrun. They are spewing the "he took a bad step" rhetoric to people asking what happened. And anybody who posts details or argues with the founder is having their comments deleted because they are "negative" she said that post is not the place to talk about libertyruns death and that mattress Mac and wohlers love their horses,give them great care and would never harm or push them

Golden Pal (Uncle Mo x Lady Shipman), in his first start back Stateside, was downright freakish today at the Spa. Set fast fractions and opened up under very mild urging to win by several lengths. Just a few ticks off the course record too. He was clearly unlucky not to win Ascot.
