The second Max was (rightfully) disqualified, fanatics jumped aboard his bandwagon and crowned him the most perfect hero horse whose connections can do no wrong.
They doubled down when he was sent to Baffert, and they're actually trying to push that the FBI is wrong about these trainers who were known to be crooks prior to March 9, 2020.

Serious question......how do you know they're not right?TapitsGal wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2020 10:04 am The maximum security fans on Facebook are going absolutely nuts. "just give them the money" "max ran clean" "I hope no more Americans ever race in Saudi Arabia"....it's like they struggle with reading comprehension and don't get what undetectable, falsified records and no American test exists to detect it means
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

I know the Coolmore people themselves don't commonly wander the backstretch, but I find it somewhat difficult to believe they were completely unaware of the Servis rumors/reputation.
And I don't think defending the Royal Baby is going to endear them to their Middle East-based racing giant rivals.

During a conversation with Nick Luck's daily podcast on Tuesday, HRH Prince Bandar bin Khalid Al Faisal, chairman of the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia (JCSA), described the process by which Maximum Security would be disqualified from his Feb. 29 victory in the $20 million race.
“If the results (of the federal investigation into Jason Servis) come out where they have concrete evidence that Maximum Security received performance enhancing drugs of any kind within the previous six months of the Saudi Cup, then by the race book and our own rules in the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia, that is an automatic disqualification of a horse,” he explained.

The MS owners have already said they won't fight losing the purse money.

So has it been ascertained that Max failed the post-race test after four years?

No he didn't fail a drug test. Their rules are that any horse that received PEDs for 6 months before a race, can not race in Saudi Arabia. Since its been proven that Maximum Security did receive PEDs in those previous 6 months, he gets DQd because he wasn't eligible to run in the race to begin with.

Wasnt the drug Servis used undetected or the kind that doesnt get tested for on testings?

I believe you’re right but Servis admitted to giving the drug to every horse in his barn, if memory serves. Still that happened months ago. What I was wondering is, what’s changed? If the rules are the rules then the DQ should have been administered the day after Servis’s testimony. Maybe the Saudis are trying to find a way to not give the money to connections who started their horse with a trainer that kept the clenbuterol industry solvent before moving her to Asmussen who is, well……..Asmussen.flytpthestars wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 1:56 pm Wasnt the drug Servis used undetected or the kind that doesnt get tested for on testings?

Even if they are the rules there is probably still a process they have to do. I understand what you are saying though. Why did it take 6 months for them to recommend he is DQd? And why isn't it done yet? Like at this rate, Servis will be out of jail before its settled.Curtis wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 5:28 pmI believe you’re right but Servis admitted to giving the drug to every horse in his barn, if memory serves.
