FWIW, I thought a lot fewer of the mares from my list were going to Tapit than usual. The tide seems to be shifting toward Into Mischief, Curlin and younger prospects like Justify. We'll see if Justify justifies the mares he's getting.

Now that I've gone back and looked, I have to agree with you; Into Mischief is drawing a very impressive book. I think what I meant, is I'm tired of seeing certain mares go back to Tapit... Littleprincessemma is the first that came to mind, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that a few of the other mares I had in mind have actually visited more stallions than I thought.

What about Havre de Grace? I can't recall who she's been bred to this year, but I know that advisors were pushing her towards Galileo, but Mandy decided against it because she wanted Havre de Grace in her back yard (her words).

It’s amazing how the same sires keep cropping up: American Pharoah, Justify, Tapit, Into Mischief and to some degree Uncle Mo....Constitution is up there also. I realize American Pharoah has 9 SW, but so many of them are grass, and American racing is so geared for dirt. Has he really justified his being bred to so many wonderful mares? What confuses me is his the AWD for his offspring is 7.98, higher than Honor Codes at 7.59, and yet I was going to say that his offspring seem to be mainly sprinters or middle distance types,

Just keep in mind that a lot of this is about what sells or is expected to sell well in a year or 2. And that is more about perception and less about cold, hard facts and statistics.
