The uproar on FB on Lane's End's page over his lack of feet has been fun LOL

I mean, it's justified. I find it irritating when farms don't show feet in conformation photos. I know a serious breeder would go see the stallion in person before making a decision anyway, but standing your horse in grass for a photo only makes people assume that it has garbage feet.Retrospectiv wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2020 9:20 am The uproar on FB on Lane's End's page over his lack of feet has been fun LOL
I do find it kind of funny that Lane's End is replying to people's questions about hooves telling them to unfollow their page. Yikes.

Agree on the feet (and they've had horses with bad ones... look at Indy all his life...).Northport wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2020 3:43 pmI mean, it's justified. The comebacks on social media were startlingly unprofessional.

...and yet wasn't it War Front that they show in the walking video (ETA: and you can clearly see them in his confo shot NOT ON GRASS) wearing his boots? Jeez. Just be upfront already.
And hire someone else for social media/PR management, sheesh.

I know Bill Farish's oldest daughter, Ande, does the tours at the farm and has been in a bunch of their virtual tours lately. Not sure if she manages the social media, but whoever does clearly isn't worried about losing their job.

If someone is seriously interested in sending a mare to a stallion, would they not go visit in person and see his feet then?

Yeah, they definitely would. Or at least send a bloodstock manager/adviser.
I'm talking more through the annals of time, say you want to trace a sire line for certain traits or physical similarities. Or, you're just a casual fan who likes looking at horses who look like they aren't standing on nubs. As much as I risk sounding like I have a fetish... I just want to see feet.
Specifically, horse feet.
Hooves.
Show me the hooves.
These farms brag about having 1000+ acres and the best facilities. They could pave a 12' x 12' square with mountains or meadows or a babbling brook in the background if they were truly interested in not hiding their stallions' feet.
