Mozu Ascot was almost TOO perfect for a foal. What a stunner.

Seeing as we now have a new Triple Crown winner, how can we not have some of his baby photos?

Anybody have a baby photo of Alysheba? I have one (in a box, stored away out of reach) of his full brother Enjoy Plan.

Here's a screenshot I've had saved on my phone for a while of Pavel with his mom Mons Venus.

Mon Venus? As fuddy-duddy as the Jockey Club can be about names, how did that one slip through?

...cos they were men?? (She's Canadian-bred though, maybe that has something to do with it?)BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 9:45 pm Mon Venus? As fuddy-duddy as the Jockey Club can be about names, how did that one slip through?

The people who approve names are human, so it's probable they saw "Mons Venus" and confused it, or assumed it was, one of the moons.
I'm going to admit that's what I always assumed it was, until Baroque implies otherwise and I had to Google it. I'm not naive or a prude but I still had never heard of the nude strip club or the body part.

There are several photos of baby Honor A.P. in this article. What a looker he was even then - the spitting image of his sire as a foal

You’re welcome ! Wasn’t he? He’s unmissable with his big blaze and four white stockings. I really love these articles and reading about Derby contenders as foals....seeing them as babies, reading about their personalities..,

There's a photo of new G1 winner No Parole in his "ugly duckling" weanling stage in this article. It's a small picture.
