It's Time for the US Debut of Ivar
https://www.turfdiario.com/llego-la-hor ... rack-ivar/
~ I was right! Ivar will run next weekend in Race 9 at Churchill Downs. It's an AOC turf mile. He'll be facing some decent horses in G2Ws Moon Colony and Casa Creed, G3W Mr. Dumas, GSPSW Ritzy A.P., GSP Journeyman, and SWs Front Run the Fed and Clint Maroon.
There are also some decent horses on the A.E. list.

I saw the entry. His M/L is 12/1.
Hope he will run a good race off a one-year layoff.

Almond Eye(JPN), 2015M. Lord Kanaloa(JPN) x Fusaichi Pandora(JPN) by Sunday Silnece(USA), claimed her 7th G1 title under Christophe Lemaire in the Victoria Mile 1600m turf at Tokyo on May 17th 2020, shrugging off a fruitless trip to Dubai in March.
She became the 7th JRA-based horse in history to win seven Group 1 races, following Symboli Rudolf, TM Opera O, Deep Impact, Vodka, Gentildonna and Kitasan Black.
Lemaire said: "I think she's matured well, as she was relaxed from the paddock to the start of the race,"
"She felt good during the race and displayed her powerful strides at the end. She's a legend horse and will surely win more Group 1 races going forward."

@Tachyon, thank you for all the news about Contrail. Wow! He's spectacular. Who is his jockey? His ride on Contrail was exceptional. I stayed up very late eastern time and watched the race live. It was breathtaking.

Yes, and that direct female line goes back to the legendary La Troienne through the Striking branch. Amazing that all these generations later, the La Troienne family continues to produce exceptional horses like Contrail.lurkey mclurker wrote: ↑Sun May 31, 2020 2:52 pm Worthy of note - Contrail's granddam on his damside is none other than champion US filly Folklore.

Hat Trick mare returned from a seven-month layoff to score by a head.
She closed well from far outside in the final stretch.
I hope that she will grab her first G1 title this year.
In the meantime, Dabirsim (Hat Trick) was represented by two runners in the G1 Poule d'Essai des Poulains at Deauville on Monday, even if the best of the two was fourth.

It was a great race by Gran Alegria, who I love and she had a perfect trip... but oh how I wish Almond Eye had had a better start. Just imagine what the stretch run might have looked like then...
