Both of them appear to be exceptional colts -- it was an exciting race and I look forward to watching both develop!

Graceful Princess, a 4-year-old by Tapit out of Havre de Grace, is entered in Friday's ninth race at Gulfstream Park. The allowance event going 1 1/16 miles on the main track will mark her first start in 225 days.

“Last year we had some bad luck with her, and she didn’t want to race. She won a race as a 2-year-old, but then she had feet issues last year and now she’s all fixed,” Pope said. “Todd Pletcher has her, and cross our fingers, she runs on Friday. She’s doing so super.

Between Top Seed and Creed, it sounds like it was a very good day for the McGaughey barn.

And Friday at Gulfstream, New Day Dawning (Medaglia d'Oro x G2W Ready to Act) returns to turf in race 8.

Somehow I also missed that in addition to being a half-sister to group I winner Master of Hounds (Kingmambo), she's also a half to grade I winners Minorette (Smart Strike) and Eishin Apollon (Giant's Causeway).

All three won their respective grade I's on different continents; the mare Silk and Scarlet has been truly remarkable producer.

I really hope so, since he's Starry Dreamer's last foal. Chad Brown had him for his first start all the way back in 2018, and it took him two years to break his maiden, but if anyone can be patient, it's Shug. Hopefully it's onward and upward for North Dakota.
