I'm curious about the article that was written. I don't know French so I used Google Translate and I don't trust the translation completely because sometimes the meaning doesn't come across correctly. But it translated as something along the lines of, they blamed it on the sire because he was from American lines and we have colored Thoroughbreds in the US. Is that really what it said? Just curious because he definitely isn't from color producing lines.

Yes that is really what they said in the article. Sadly the french racing "journalists" don't know a single thing about color genetics...Flanders wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 10:27 pmI'm curious about the article that was written. For example, there is a dominant white standardbred colt born from a dominant white dam a few days ago in France and they said both the dam and the foal are grey....

"This white standardbred is gray and so is the white mom" "this foal popped out like this because his sire comes from North American bloodlines"

Thank you for responding. I just wanted to make sure because I was like ????? mostly because the sire is almost exclusively from European bloodstock if you go back in his family.

You can't really see it but this yearling colt by Mshawish o/o Joie de Vie (Cloud Cover) has a cool blaze.

I can't find a photo but Full Moon Rising, a grandson of Airdrie Apache, is running in the third at Tampa Bay Downs. He's registered as chestnut but boy is he "unusual." Over the knee white, pale tail, looks strawberry roan!
ETA Unplaced at 45-1.

I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

Can't find a photo but surely someone took some and they'll be up later. Saw a replay though and he is stunning!
