Graded Winner International Star to Stud in Chile

~ I've been a fan of this dude for as long as I can remember and am happy he's found a place to land. I was really disappointed when he had to scratch from the Derby. He'll be standing where Chrome shuttled to.

Wouldn't be shocked. Can't race for who knows how long.

I am thinking that person who mentioned it is a newbie, didnt understand what it meant when he had already have a place at stud.
I think he is still running till end of year. Just that the person in question is over reacting.

On Lane's End's FB tour yesterday he was definitely mentioned as a future stallion just waiting for a race. (BTW most of the stallions were just shown through the bars on their stalls, but there's a nice birthday visit with Zenyatta at the end. Due mid-May.FlyToTheStars wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2020 9:33 pm I am thinking that person who mentioned it is a newbie, didnt understand what it meant when he had already have a place at stud.

I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

Dashmesh Stud in India is jumping on the virtual tour train and posted a video of all their stallions, a pensioner, and a teaser March 26 on Facebook.
https://www.facebook.com/DashmeshStud/v ... 593452490/
The pensioner is Hurricane State (Miswaki x Regal State) who is a G3W half-brother to Pleasantly Perfect. Narrator says he is one of Miswaki's last living sons. I couldn't understand who the teaser is.
Shown are Sir Cecil, Win Legend, Dreamfield, and Dandified. Sir Cecil is gorgeous.

I do hope he's successful. I feel like he's facing just as much of an uphill battle in Japan as he was here with the Shadai monopoly.

Thank you Lurkey. Sorry I couldn't respond sooner, but I'm working from home these days and my monitor is usually hooked up to my work laptop. What's interesting about Chrome's offspring is that the very thing American buyers don't like, the Japanese do. Mr. Onishi said, “He will cover at least 150 mares. He has been very popular with breeders. They are impressed with him....I have seen lots of his yearlings and weanlings at the sales in the U.S. I have an image that they could be more successful in Japan than other countries. Most of their details were quite average - they are not so heavy or light, not so strong or narrow. I think this characteristic probably suits the Japanese racing style.” He does not mean "average" in the sense of quality, but type. Chrome has stamped many of his foals with his conformation, particularly his excellent shoulder and hip.lurkey mclurker wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 12:48 pm Here's one for Ridan...

Here is one of Chrome's 2-year-old colts training in Florida. People at the training center think he is classy. I've seen a few short clips of him galloping in tandem with other 2-year-olds. Always this colt is on the bit, athletic, with smooth lead changes like Chrome, and he seems to have some competitiveness to him. Of course, we can't know what they'll do until they race, but this colt and one other I've seen clips of both show promise.
