ETA Was this already posted and I missed it--the reference to Belong to Me as "also 31" made me wonder but I went back a couple of days and didn't see it. Sorry if it's a duplicate.
This is from a couple months ago, in December, but Arazi looks fantastic. He doesn't look anywhere near 30, almost 31 at the time.

Arazi looked absolutely fabulous in that video. We should all be so fortunate to age as gracefully as that stallion.

That video of Arazi is incredible. 30! He's still just a gorgeous horse. I thought I noticed that he stayed on his wrong lead almost all the way down the stretch in the BCJ. A great talent--Bertrando, who he blew past, was a very good horse indeed.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

Poor Bertrando. He would have been a 2x BC winner if not for French horses with names starting with the letter A.

I'd forgotten about the BCC, but yes, he was home and dry. . .

Constitution has three in tomorrow’s Florida Derby. That’s pretty impressive.

Wow: Galileo “covered 180 mares in 2017, 165 in 2018 and 156 last year, with no fewer than 117 black-type performers in each book.“

I saw a video from his birthday last year where his groom or the stallion manager at Coolmore said they were minding him and he only covers around 100 mares a year... I guess the "around" is the key word. I guess if he is still up for it and Coolmore needs him to cover 70% of their mares, then why not?

The whole situation with Deep Impact and his neck issues and book sizes and eventual demise kind of makes me squirm when I see older stallions still covering 150+ mares.

He didn't get a fracture in his cervical spine breeding mares. He either fell, most likely running in his paddock or reared and hit his head very hard on something. It was covering mares that made them realize he had a problem.

I doubt it was a traumatic fracture that initially caused the problem. It was likely a chronic issue secondary to Cervical Vertebral Malformation. I think the fracture happened secondary to the surgical procedure meant to ease the pain. Either due to something that occurred in recovery or a pathological fracture secondary to the bone being too diseased to handle the surgical fix.

Is there any way to see a full list of mares bred to a certain stallion?

If you pay Equineline, then yes but Report of Mare bred aren't due until August 1st. Its $25 per stallion or $250 a year for unlimited reports.
