Hayayakko (King Kamehameha) was second in the Sobu Stakes at Nakayama. Also, I learned that "Hayayakko" (or Hiyayakko) is a type of tofu dish, so that's why he's named that.

I was looking through WinBak Farm's foal photos this morning and there's been quite a few kiddos with interesting markings. These are standardbreds, not thoroughbreds, but wanna share anyway. They've also had several with "Roman faces."

CLARENCE STEWART was the first-ever registered white male Thoroughbred, and how exciting he was to fans and photographers!

A son of 'regular' colored parents, Thomasville-Brimstar, Clarence was born in 1977. He broke his maiden in 1981.

Here is an interesting gray gelding, Al Khabeer (Lope de Vega x Partita, by Monteju).

Middleham has a couple of interesting horses. They have a No Nay Never x The Tempest colt who is registered "bay" but looks like he'll be gray (or kind of looks like Oxbow).

They also have a colt, One Heart, who is listed as being "gray brown."

This beautiful colt by Zanzibari & Libore (Starborough) was born a few days ago in France. According to the shade of chestnut above his front stockings, it seems he will not grey out. Libore is the dam of 5, 4 of which have won. The last one is a 3 yo by Dubawi and is still unraced.
