I’m dealing with a fun maiden right now. Been walking for almost an hour and a bit heated, but not angry enough to foal yet. Maidens are so stressful to watch

LOL "not angry enough to foal yet"
In less amusing news - does anyone else think Ashado looks a bit off in her right fore?

I see that she is two weeks late. Does this happen often?

Yes it’s normal. At least with the mares here, most of them usually go two weeks over their due datePalace Malice wrote: ↑Mon Mar 09, 2020 9:39 pm I see that she is two weeks late. Does this happen often?

Well the mare finally went. A Twirling Candy colt out of the half sister to Gr 1 winner Nolde. It was weird because she heated up good and then cooled off a bit and then broke water.

I believe the foal may be coming soon. Endless pacing, and she had attempted to lie down x3 right now but gets right back up.

I’m kind of worried about her. She’s been going up and down a lot and laying there. Hopefully she can get the foal into position

Poor NMH was giving me cramps watching her
But, now she's back up and they turned the lights back off. Guess she's squeezed her legs closed enough to keep that darn foal in a bit longer . She's bound and determined not to have it

Do you have any pictures of Vanishing Cupid? I looked up some pics of him but there aren't many.

Aw. I got "into" Foal Patrol because I loved Ashado on the track (I adore her spunky little filly), but I'd been watching New Money Honey pretty regularly -- really, checking in a few times a day for almost week before she was due. I hope she'll be okay.

Here's 2 photos of Vanishing Cupid. I really have to get some proper conformation shots of him this year!
He is a really good looking stallion, looks very much like his sire Galileo! And he is also the sweetest and easiest to handle stallion we've ever had.

Thank you! He's a very pretty boy and he has a cool name.

In case anyone hasn't noticed, I really love bays--especially those with chrome! He's a cutie, and looks as though he could almost pass as a quarterhorse! He's a happy boy, all covered in mud.MorganLeFay wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 3:06 pm @Mylute
