He is standing a lot better now, but his back legs are still kinda weak.

EDIT: He's apparently a large colt, and has broken ribs and had a hernia. Hernia has been pushed back and he is on the improve.

Two colts born last night. First is a Quality Road out of stakes placed Brielle’s Appeal. Mare is also a half to Authenticity the dam of impressive maiden Charlatan. Second is a Kitten’s Joy out of Cocktail Hour, which makes him a full brother to Gr 2 winner Focus Group. Mare is also a full sister to Film Maker.

The last report on Super Shack was that she was doing well and her uterus was shrinking like normal. They haven't said anything since so I assume no news is good news and all is well with her.

As we know, prayers are answered in various ways. This morning a call from the vet brought a request for a nurse mare. 2 bad situations now will turn into a blessing for a new foal. With luck they will bond quickly and this will be a great story for the future. are answered

After a very deflating evening, we just got an uplifting call. The vet hospital has a baby in need of a nurse mare while his own mama recovers. So they are introducing Super Shack to the new little one immediately. She's a sweet, gentle mare so we think she will be most accommodating.

Hope things go smoothly for Super Shack and the new baby. *fingers x*
