I don't know if anyone is interested in this but I'll post the 5th generation of a horse and you guess who it is.

I probably picked a hard one. If no one gets it, I can post clues I guess.

Also interested, but likewise, no luck yet. But, not quite ready yet to give up. My guess is that - with luck - the answer can be found from certain very common sires NOT being represented.

Well, no luck here either. I guess I will just have to wait until you (or somebody else) comes up with the right answer or until Flanders gives us a hint.

Though not considered to have a fashionable pedigree, he sired 48 stakes winners during his stallion career in Kentucky, including siring the winner of the Kentucky Derby. His line is still active with his grandson siring a major race winner recently.

New one up. Is this to hard? Would you prefer I did a closer generation? I just feel going to generation 3 or 4 makes it super super easy.

I concede defeat. Not sure if I am going about this the wrong way, or what.

Making a wild, wild guess: Fleet Girl?

So the very bottom horse in this horse's pedigree would be Fleet Girl. So this horse's 4th dam is Fleet Girl. But the game is to figure out who's 5th generation pedigree this is.

so the way I'd do it is, look at the pedigree I posted.
figure out some key horses in the 4th generation
Northern Dancer(Nearctic/Natalma)
Fairy Bridge (Bold Reason/Special)
Miswaki (Mr. Prospector/Hopespringseternal)
Allegretta (Lombard/Anatevka)
use those to figure out the next generation
3rd generation (while there is a few stallions with that same pedigree)
Sadler's Wells (Northern Dancer/Fairy Bridge)
Urban Sea (Miswaki/Allegretta)
then use those to figure out generation 2:
Galileo (Sadler's Wells/Urban Sea)

Does that make sense?

Yes, sort of. Meaning I will have to plug in these data and try to replicate the steps you outlined. I did, in some of my attempts get all the way to Fairy Bridge, Northern Dancer, and Sadler's Wells on the male side of the pedigree, but then was unable to make the next leap. Between this, that, or the other, the last two weeks have been pretty fragmented, which isn't much help with this sort of mental gymnastics,
