The Turkish Jockey Club got a new conformation photo for Tu Brutus.
They normally use the previous confo photos for their new stallions but Tu Brutus's old one was not super flattering

Candid shot of Take Charge Indy by Housatonic back in the states. Anybody see any issues with him? Obviously you can't tell from a photo but a user on here was claiming he was lame and did not need to be mounting mares and they would never breed to him.

Oh, sorry for miscommunication. Didn't mean to imply he was lame, just noticed that conformation. Upstart is handsome...and isn't he a full to the late Jump Start? I thought those two 'Indy sons were very underrated; IIRC, Jumpstart had some excellent filly runners. I hope his last couple of crops run lights out.

There's nothing perfect in this world, not even snowflakes despite what we were told as kids. So I'm always loathe to criticize a horse. I'm super glad TCI is back in Kentucky where he will have his chance at better mares. Overall he's a handsome stallion in a plain brown wrapper. That said, he appears to be nearly club-footed in his left front (note I said nearly, not fully). If you look closely, you can see the back of that hoof is a little thicker than the backs of his other hooves. A good farrier can help correct that. All four of his pasterns are a bit too upright, but I'll take that instead of weak overly angled pasterns.
As for TCI being lame, I'd need to either see the horse myself or see well-shot videos to credit this claim. Remember that disturbing photo of TCI in the breeding shed in Korea with a bandage on one of his rear legs? Perhaps that was what the 'user on here' was referring to.

Not him, but I did see a video of More Than Ready at the walk, and he looked decidely stiff in the back end on his right side. Looked stiff from his hip down.
I suppose near 20 years of jumping mares, year round without a break, might do that after a while though.

No he isn't. It is funny. I see that trope of being underrated connected with Upstart all the time, and I have never really understood it. He was a solid G1SP for the most part, but always a cut below on the track.
