CARIBBEAN SEA ran a great race in the 8th at Remington Park, the Trapeze Stakes, this evening. She finished 2nd, was really wide on the first turn, made up a lot of ground down the backstretch, grabbed the lead on the turn, and just got caught late. That wide first turn and big middle move cost her.

But she is stakes placed now and another blacktype runner for Hard Spun.

1 1/2 mile race around 3 turns. Those that ran anywhere near him early wound up at the back of the field at the end. Good for him!

Macabre won race #5 at Turfway Park yesterday. First win in 12 starts, though she had been 3rd 6 times in tougher company. Her record is now 12-1-0-6.

Out For A Spin ran a really brave race dueling with the favorite for the first 3/4 mile. Finally put the other away decisively and had a clear lead, only to be run down late. Really tough beat. That race was second off the layoff and here's hoping she will continue to improve in her next race.
