Makes me go hm..are they having a hard time finding enough thoroughbred mares to fill mitoles book? If so does that mean he has a relatively short future at spendthrift?

Its more money. That's it. I mean they are offering Into Mischief too. He bred close to 250 mares in 2019.

Since QH breeding allows AI, it nearly is free money. All the farm has to do is collect semen, which can be used for more than one impregnation. And the stallion doesn't even have to deal with the stress of a live breeding.
It's not like this hasn't been done before. IIRC, the great Storm Cat himself had some QH offspring.

Mitole is a speedster, which would make him a good candidate to inject some thoroughbred speed into the quarter horse, but I just don't like the idea of added stress onto stallions who are already being made to cover nearly 300 mares a year (Into Mischief).

a single breeding can yield anywhere from 15 to 320 straws if I'm not mistaken (depending on quality, concentration and size of the straw) and a single dose can be anywhere from 1 to 8 straws. So depending on how they choose to go about it, it may not put more strain on a stallion. Ground collection can be done which means the stud may not even have to mount.

Im curious of the burial rituals in Japan. Does the horses get 3 H's burial or entire, or cremated? Since those two got tombs, does it mean similar to grave or its different?

Nasrullah arriving in America there’d be no #CaliforniaChrome if he hadn’t left his home shores and come to the lower breeding levels of USA from Great Britain. That’s the global nature of this industry and that’s something to be embraced

Good for him! I had him in my VS for the longest time, I hold an affection for the little guy.

Really, aside from getting extremely lucky with Unbridled's Song and Saint Ballado, they've always been a boarding facility and huge sales/consignment outfit.
