Well at least the got the best of the trio in foal to Deep Impact.

Even the other two going to Lord Kanaloa is still VERY exciting. If Coolmore didn't already have the mares over there, I wonder if they'd be willing to give LK a chance in what is still technically the early stages of his career (even though he clearly is the real deal).

If Lord Kanaloa can give them the results that Deep Impact did, hopefully this is just the beginning!

Rhododendron and Hydrangea are also in foal to Deep Impact. They, together with Minding, have returned to Ireland. Winter and Happily have headed to the US. Peeping Fawn is in foal to Daiwa Major, and has also returned to Ireland.

They’ve really gone off War Front, perhaps partly because several mares failed to get in foal to him last year.
From a high of 30-35 Coolmore-associated mares going to War Front a couple of years ago, only half a dozen went to him this year, including only 2 lesser-light Galileo mares.
Contrast that with the 50-60 Coolmore-associated mares that went to Justify, including nearly 30 Galileo mares.
