So happy to see Mind Your Biscuits with such a nice book of mares. I can't imagine he would have had a book like that in the US?

Any details on mares who might have visited him?

Orfevre(JPN), 3rd crop sire, managed to sire two G1 winners (2yo champ filly Lucky Lilac and Satsuki Sho winner Epoca d'Oro) from his first crop.
But his winners-to-runners ratio in JRA for his first crop shrunk to 29%.
Hence the drop. :(
On the other hand, Gold Ship seems to have has a nice little start, especially in view of the fact neither his number of mares or quality of mares compare to Orfevre's
(or most of the Shadai stallions for that matter.) I really want one of Stay Gold's sons to be a big. success.
I'm rather optimistic about it.
Orfevre may still rebound.
And there are other Stay Gold's G1 winners who are still in training. ;)

Per Thoroughbred Daily News, Eight Rings dam Purely Hot was “most recently” bred to Union Rags.

The article about Order of St. George being the most popular freshman sire of 2019 also mentioned that Hawbill only got 39 this year. Poet's Word only got 30. Woosh.

I'm guessing the few amount of mares is the reason he was sold to be a flat/national hunt stallion earlier this year.

No kidding. It's hard out there for middle distance stallions who aren't by Galileo and/or standing at Coolmore's main division. I'm surprised that Poet's Word got so so few. Just my opinion, but I don't think Shadwell is the best stallion operation. With all of the money and group/graded winners they've had come through their program in the last 30 years, they just can't seem to get a star stallion off the ground, besides Green Desert. Maybe Muharaar will be the one.

I think it also did not work in his favor that Dubawi really hasn't established a strong sire line yet. He has Makfi-Make Believe, but that is only so-so, and I believe his daughters haven't produced much either.

His best grandkid (through daughters) is Dream Castle, who won a G1 in the UAE. His "son in law" is Frankel, so that might be a new cross.
