Wow! It's been so long I assumed he retired. Good to hear. Thanks for sharing that info!

I have not seen or read anything about that. Maybe they decided to point him to something else.

Snap Decision won the William Entenmann Memorial Hurdle Stakes at Belmont Park today. This was race #1. He is Hard Spun's 76th stakes winner. He was the only American bred horse in the field. His record over the jumps is now 5-3-2-0.

Spun To Run finished 5th in the PA Derby, but he was only beaten 1 1/2 lengths or so in all, and he was wide the whole way. I would say he showed he belongs with these horses and could turn the tables on another day. While he wasn't closing on the winner, he was closing on the others ahead of him.

Black Ops won race #5 the Budweiser Special Stakes at Albuquerque Downs on Saturday, September 21. I believe he is Hard Spun's 77th stakes winner. Darley's article says 75, but I think that is incorrect. They have been incorrect before. His record is now 25-6-4-4.

Silver State missed the break and still managed to dead heat for 1st in his debut in race #8 at Churchill Downs today, 9 3/4 lengths ahead of the third place finisher. Pretty exciting stretch run.

Further worth noting that Silver State came 5 wide off that turn, so covered a good bit more ground than his opponent and was definitely the better horse. Exciting finish. Could be a good one!

TIGHTLY TWISTED 3yo filly - Won the George Rosenberger Memorial Stakes at Delaware Park. Survived a jockey objection.

First stakes win for this filly. Won on turf against older.

I watched that live and boy was I screaming during that stretch run. Looking at the head-on, the #1 horse came out first and looked to me like that made Tightly Twisted veer out into other horses. I don't think it had any effect on the outcome, though. So Tightly Twisted is Hard Spun's 78th stakes winner. Your comment made me look at the ages of the others in the field and all of them were older. Pretty impressive.

Well, as the chart says, Timeline was through after a half mile in the Ack Ack. I didn't need to read the chart to see that. Disappointing, but he was coming off a long layoff. Hope he can do better. He's never duplicated the speed numbers he ran in the Pegasus and Peter Pan. He'd be competitive if he could do that.

Hard Sting trying dirt for the first time after running 0 and 3 on turf. He's by a Smart Strike mare, like Rocketry.
