I remember watching a video awhile back when Cloud Computing has started to settle in, and they really emphasized how handsome of a horse he is. I didn’t realize how right they were.

Always Dreaming is supposedly very handsome as well. I heard someone describe him as a panther.

From the confo pictures I've seen, Always Dreaming looks kind of "meh" or "average" to me. Now I've seen several of him on the track in tack where he looks really pretty with his dark bay coloring and white blaze. But you know what they say about pictures.

Call me back when I can get a non-transparent confo pic of him after he's filled out, lol.

Apologies if these were posted, but just happened to see them on Coolmore's site. I did do a Forum search but it didn't bring these up if previously posted.

They may have been posted before (because IIRC we preferred Mendy over Justy, when it comes to the two Scat Daddy boys ;) ), but thanks for giving us another chance to wonder how a horse so heavy-bodied as J could run as well as he did.
If I had a mare and a million $, I'd choose Mendy every time. Better conformation and much better female line.

Figured they would have been by now.
I prefer Mendy as well, looks more like his sire line and looks the type to get a more versatile horse than Justify.

~ Unraced. I don't remember why and I can't find the article about him on Breednet because their search doesn't work.

Oh, I was confusing him with another Fastnet Rock boy. I think his name is "rocking" something?

Hmm the only unraced Fastnet Rock standing at stud that I can find is Fastnet Express. There is Winx half brother Boulder City or perhaps another horse with overseas races...oh well

Those are some big glutes on that grey. I've seen Quarterhorses who didn't have such hunky hindquarters. :o
Was Havana Grey a sprinter/miler?

They were, but the death of Tinypic has erased a lot of forum history, so it's good to post them again.

Since the photo is back, I'll repeat the comment that Justify reminds me of Point Given --an imposing beast while racing, but heavy and rather coarse at stud. (And PG was not successful at stud.).

Justify looks like Munnings to me. I know a lot of that is due to the Coolmore photo thing.

I prefer Mendy's conformation while they were racing and although Justify looks a bit better than he did on the track conformationally, I still by far prefer Mendy.
Better proportions, better balanced, better shoulder, better back, better loin, better hip. Most importantly he's extremely correct where Justify is not, notably look at their legs.
Mendelssohn ran way more yet his legs still show correct alignment and angulation. Justify ran 6 times and is over at the knee. He's a bit long pasterned (rear and front) and is a little post-legged in the rear. His left hind is positioned just behind the vertical in part to hide this/make it seem a little less apparent. Mendy's rear left is juuuuust off square but you can tell he would still be correct if his hock was perfectly perpendicular to the ground.

Those are much better than the typical Claiborne conformation pics.
