Another bonus about Karak is that she defeated colts, which I enjoy seeing. Not that it should be a big deal, but people in the U.S. still have irrational hang-ups about putting fillies in open races.

I wonder if the new Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint will be a goal for Karak?

Sunday Silence's youngest daughters are already 16 years old now.
It's amazing that he still remains the champion broodmare sire both internationally and domestically.

And I've just learned how this international ranking has been generated by BH, too.

Listed below are all available statistics for the Northern Hemisphere through September 23, 2019 As supplied to The Blood-Horse by The Jockey Club Information Systems, Inc., earnings include adjusted money from Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Adjusted earnings are put on par with average North American earnings from the previous year. For example, the average North American purse in 2017 is $22,593 or 47% of the 2017 average purse in Japan. To put earnings on par, all Japanese progeny earnings are multiplied by 47% before being credited to a sire's progeny earnings. Hong Kong earnings are adjusted by 15%; Singapore by 68%. Current year stakes winners include all Northern Hemisphere black-type stakes results from all available countries. *Cumulative foal counts include Southern Hemisphere. I've been a fan of Mer De Glace since I've seen him win his first G3 in Japan. He is so beautiful, dark with a big blaze and very talented too! I'm very happy to see him win his first G1

World Premiere(JPN), 2016C. Deep Impact(JPN) x Mandela(GER) by Acatenango(GER), landed his first G1 and grade-race victory in the Kikuka Sho (Japanese St. Leger) 3000m turf at Kyoto on Oct 20th 2019.
Yutaka Take became the yougest as well as the oldest jockey to win the final leg of the Japanese Triple Crown.
He had won the Kikuka Sho with Super Creek(JPN) in 1988.
Melody Lane(JPN), the lightest winning filly in JRA history, came in a brave 5th.
