Likewise, South Saqqara has also been nominated for two Maiden runs at Naas, different races but the same day as Elfin Queen's nominations.

Monarch of Egypt is nominated for G2 Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury next Saturday. Will keep an eye on this to see if he's Declared - https://www.racingpost.com/racecards/36 ... -21/736048
Monarch of Egypt hasn't declared for that race and doesn't show on the entry list, but that race still shows on his Racing Post page.

South Saqqara didn't get into either race.

NEW DEBUT RUNNER - Elfin Queen is declared for a Maiden Fillies 6 furlong race at Naas tomorrow (Wednesday) September 18th at 3:20pm local time. She's drawn the 3rd post (out of 20)
Trained by Aiden O'Brien and ridden by Wayne Lordan. She was a $1.2 million purchase by Coolmore at Keeneland 2018 September sale,.
She's half to Cupid, G3 winners Ashley's Kitty and Heart Ashley (who herself is dam of Japanese GSW Fiano Romano (AUS) )

Just getting this info together in one post and not scattered across pages:

POSSIBLE UPCOMING ENTRIES (NOMINATIONS ETC) - to be updated when details are known

* 21 September (Saturday) - Home Kong is submitted for a 1-mile Maiden C&G race at Gowran Park, race 2 post time 2:35pm

* 21 September (Saturday) - Monarch of Egypt is submitted for the 6furlong G2 Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury, race 3 post time 2:55pm. This would be his 3rd Graded stakes run The previous two were both 2nd place finishes, one in G1 and one G2. Siskin, the winner in both of those runs, is not in this race. Trivia note on Siskin: His connections skipped last week's National Stakes (the one PInatubo won) for the 28 September G1 Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes, which Monarch of Egypt was also nominated for.

UPCOMING ENTRIES - DEBUTS

* 20 September (Friday) - Prince of Pharoahs - colt o/o My Dixie Doodle (by Dixie Union) - Belmont Park MSW for 2yo, 6 furlongs turf, PP 6 of 15, race 8, post time 18:39. Homebred by Dr Jerry Blinski & Harry Patten has two racing age siblings, both sired by Candy Ride: one (Candy Cane Lane) has an 8-3-1-1 record running at the $20k Claiming level, another (Big Time Player) that debuts this Thursday Sep 19th for owner Gary West . Color me shocked! I check his record each morning - and sometimes in the evening, too - with the other "AP babies overseas" listings, and didn't see any entries as of this morning! France Galop still shows nothing at all for him when I pull up my bookmark.

Thank you for the update!

September 18th was a busy day at Saint Cloud in France.

Ocean Atlantique made his debut, as mentioned above.

Ridwaan(FR), a colt out of Ridasiyna, was supposed to have had his debut in the same Maiden 2YO race that Ocean Atlantique ran in at Saint Cloud. He was a vet scratch. He is an Aga Khan homebred kept for racing and Mikel Delzangles is the trainer.

Land of Maybe (filly o/o Pachattack, damsire Tapit) came in 4th of 16 in another Maiden race that same afternoon, 1600meters. She is owned by Flaxman Stables Ireland (Niarchos?) and trained by Pascal Bary.

SOUL MERIT finished 7th of 12 . The korearacing.live site describes the Seoul racetrack as "artifician sand-based" so I"m going to treat this as a "other" surface win in my log.

Eagerly finished 2nd, behind the first-time-runner Tiesto (Tiznow -Marquee Delivery, which makes him half to Promises Fulfilled) who made a great stretch run.

Eagerly broke well, and stayed in third on the rail/inside through the first easy fractions. When the pace picked up along the backstretch and Velazquez started asking for more, Eagerly was 'eh, not really interested' and didn't apply himself. Even as the leaders pulled off and challengers passed on the inside and Plan of Attack came up on the outside to take over 4th, Eagerly didn't respond with speed.

Then Plan of Attack tried to bite him*. Plan's jockey immediately corrected his colt, wrenching Plan's head away from Eagerly's neck and moving more outside.

... and that apparently was what it took to get Eagerly's motor going. He finally showed some closing kick and got the place - no one was catching Tiesto by that point.

Eagerly doesn't seem to be very eager about this whole working hard and winning thing. We can't count on future opponents to motivate him via attempts at savaging, we can only hope he gets lots of praise for his closing effort and realizes "oh THAT'S what they want me to do here!!" for the future.

*Edited to add this: Plan of Attack's teeth actually did make contact as the replay shows a mark appearing on Eagerly's neck.

Do you think that some of his babies have temperaments that are a little too placid?
