I'd be careful about suggesting he's doing ''so well". A Travers winner is a big feather in his cap, but let's look beyond him at the rest of his top 10 performers to date. Four of his top 10 have won only a maiden race. Another is still a maiden. So HALF OF HIS TOP 10 PERFORMERS are eligible for either a NW1x or a maiden race.

Considering he hasn’t been the most popular sire, I think he’s doing well for himself. I like to think he’ll get better from here.Horsebagger wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2019 7:24 pmI'd be careful about suggesting he's doing ''so well". Yes, perhaps some day he'll make your statement true. Shoutout to Cadet Connelly for giving his sire Grey Swallow a G1 competitor. He was second in the G1 Summer Stakes.
He's also out of an English Channel mare. Bred by Calumet of course!

Bizarre little story on Paulick about Vice Prez Pence claiming American Pharoah bit him so hard he 'almost collapsed.'
https://www.paulickreport.com/news/peop ... n-pharoah/
Coolmore's stallion manager is skeptical that ever happened, but...
If sweet AP was ever going to chomp down on someone, he picked a good target.

(shame it wasn't the Big Orange One, then they could've said AP mistook him for a ginormous carrot )BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 5:29 pm Bizarre little story on Paulick about Vice Prez Pence claiming American Pharoah bit him so hard he 'almost collapsed.'

I've heard AP has a pretty good temperament for a stallion so yeah, I think this is Pence just trying to seem all rough n' tough. He might as well claim he was wrestling bears.

Based on my visit to Ashford last year, there's a WHOLE lot of people who could buy the "American Pharaoh didn't bite ME!" T-shirts . .
BTW I don't believe it either, but it it's true. . .kinda weird.

I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

Why does everything in our time have to be...you don't agree with me politically, so you're evil? I have my political opinions too, but prefer to keep them out of a horse racing forum I enjoy. Here, for me it's about the horses. That's it. Can we keep it that way?

But do your political opinions include torturing teenagers until they are traumatized enough to deprive themselves of human love and intimacy? Do your political opinions include saying an entire group of humans deserve to die and burn in hell just for existing? Because let me tell you as someone who is gay, just the notion of homophobia has imprinted me in such a way that now as a late 20-something adult I am unable to express any kind of physical affection love or intimacy. And studies show that is actually detrimental to human health. I'm socially handicapped, I've got the spontaneity beaten out of me - I will probably die alone because now just the thought of being intimate with someone gives me irrepressible anxiety for multiple reasons. And that's just due to the fear of being persecuted because my actions would've been misinterpreted. I can only imagine what those who have gone through conversion therapy must feel and be like. I have friends who are definitely very conservative and I am not, I'm capable of respecting them and their opinions even when I disagree with them. But their opinions don't actually include killing and torturing other people.Ridan_Remembered wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 6:27 amWhy does everything in our time have to be...you don't agree with me politically, so you're evil? And notice you're the only one who is making it political and making a big deal of it. Everyone else was just joking around.
Whew, there's a lot to unpack but let's just burn the whole suitcase!
