Just watched this race, Crystal Ocean laid his body down. Tough loss.

I really want her to get that 3rd Arc but she has already stamped herself as an all time great and I’m looking forward to seeing how she does as a broodmare. I suspect she’ll be seeing Dubawi at stud as her first mating. Galileo and Frankel are a little too closely related IMO. But Sea The Stars would be a lovely match ;)
Sea The Stars is too closely related as well, in my opinion. I don't really like seeing inbreeding that is closer than 3x and a breeding with Sea The Stars would result in a 2x4 to Urban Sea.

I can't imagine they would send her to anyone but Dubawi.

While I agree that Dubawi should be the leading candidate, I can think of worse 2x4 choices than inbreeding to all-time great blue hen mare Urban Sea. ;)
What about American Pharoah? His offspring seem to have taken well to turf and he would be a decent outcross. Of course, someone would have to cross The Pond, and I doubt that Enable would do that for her first breeding.

He was giving up 7 lbs to Japan, too.

Juddmonte might want to give one of its hot young sires a boost by sending her to Kingman.

The plan for Stradivarius is the Champion Stayers (GI) in Ocotber at Ascot, then they plan to keep him in training next season and follow the same route as the past 2 years but go for the Arc as opposed to the Londsdale Cup.

Connections of Battash say they may go to France for the Abbey (GI) and then to Santa Anita for the Breeder's Cup Turf Sprint (GI)

Will I finally stop posting in this thread today? Unlikely 🤷‍♀️

Enable is now rated 128 on official British ratings making her the top rated British race horse this year. We’ll see if this holds up in the World Rankings by the end of the month to make her the highest rated horse in the world.

I don’t understand how Crystal Ocean was still ranked above her following the King George.

I saw someone explain that she had a 1lb allowance over Crystal Ocean in the King George and since she had to work hard to beat him she was rated that 1lb lower. I do think that’s silly though, she’s clearly the superior horse and had a pretty rough run in the King George whereas Crystal Ocean had a perfect trip and still couldn’t beat her.

This is beyond devastating. I so hoped he was in the clear at this point. My heart goes out to his connections, losing him at just the beginning of what looked such a promising stud career is just simply unfair.

This year has sucked a lot. So many huge losses in racing. Rest in Peace, Champ.
