What I believe to be the first Effinex to sell, a colt out of Wahoo Cat (Soto), went to Michael Dub for $30K.

Stallions Dylan Mouth, Peace Envoy Offered For Private Sale
Dylan Mouth has stood for one season at Worsall Grange at a fee of £2,000. The son of Dylan Thomas was a three-time Group 1 winner in Italy for Stefano Botti and became an international campaigner for his brother Marco, taking the Silver Cup at York in his final season in 2018.

Peace Envoy had covered for two seasons for the same fee. A son of Power trained by Aidan O’Brien, he won the Group 3 Anglesey Stakes as a juvenile and finished a close third in the Prix Morny.

The late El Padrino got what I believe to be his first stakes winner when Introduced took the Miss Disco Stakes at Laurel.

I would love to see a farm here in the States stand him on NH time. I love this horse and think he was an wonderfully talented performer. Plus he’s just gorgeous.

Tizway is on the move...again.
Tizway to Relocate to Turkey from South Korea
Multiple grade 1 winner and expatriate stallion Tizway has been acquired by owner/breeder Nimet Arif Kurtel and will be relocated from South Korea to Turkey.
Tizway is the third Kentucky-bred stallion bought by Kurtel since June, when he acquired Bluegrass Cat and Air Vice Marshal. The deal to buy Tizway was brokered by Sean Nix and Murat Sancal. International regulations prevent Tizway from being exported directly to Turkey, so the stallion will be shipped to Sancal Racing at Elmendorf Farm near Lexington and stay there until January, when the three stallions will then be shipped to Turkey.

I'm pleased to read this. After what I've read about South Korea's tendency (or maybe it's a horsemeat-eating nation's standard OP) to send TBs off to slaughter, Turkey seems like Paradise instead.

Well Thoroughbreds do descend in part from Turkish horses, so if I were a TB I would probably consider Karacabey Stud to be paradise :D

Turkey does seem to take good care of their stallions. I've been posting some of the artsy photos in the Stallion Headshots thread - I think it's telling how much the Turkish Jockey Club (and Japanese stud farms, for that matter) likes to show off their horses and their facilities compared to South Korea which seems to hide them away.

The other thing I appreciate about Turkey is that they have compiled a wide variety of outcross stallions. Purchasing Tizway gives them the Relaunch/In Reality sireline which is practically nonexistent in Europe.

I wish they'd add another from the Tiznow line and get Colonel John out of Korea. :(

Does Turkey have a Tapit yet? No? OK well they should buy Hansen. I hear he is actually really friendly and loves treats.

I wish they would get Take Charge Indy out of So. Korea. After seeing pictures of them breeding mares with a huge bandage on his hind leg, I have worried about him.

Such horrible news. It was sounding so hopeful for the handsome son of Kitten's Joy. :(
I'd hoped he would become an international standard-bearer for KJ. At least he left us with one foal crop from his season at Tweenhills Stud, and I hope it's full of group winners.

So much sad news lately. Deep Impact, King Kamehameha, now Roaring Lion. Overwhelming. Although death is inevitable for all living things, it doesn't get any easier to accept as the years go by.
