So are the original name certificates mailed to the breeder or the current owner? I found it interesting the original certificate was mailed to SF for Chrome's brother.
I would be shocked, shocked to find out a supposed purchase at a sale was mere smoke and mirrors.

SF is still listed as his owner in JC. I've noticed that Coolmore are pretty bad about changing the info on horses they've purchased, though. It's also possible SF bought back into the colt as partners after Coolmore bought him. I suspect we'll find out soon enough, as he probably got named because he's about to be entered.

Auction history looks like he didn't grow up as pretty as they'd hoped:
Weanling - $575,000
Yearling - RNA at $800,000
2 Year Old - $410,000

J Z Warrior had a 23-6-6-3 record and earned $342k; G3 placed was the highest she managed. She seems to have passed that "solid, sound, but not fast enough for top company" on to at least one offspring, Moon Gate Warrior, her 2013 gelding by Bernardini.
Moon Gate Warrior is still running and has accumulated a 47-14-6-5 record for $347,061!
He's been in Claiming and Allowance ranks, but hasn't been up for a tag since he was grabbed for $5,000 in May 2018.
Came in third in the Claiming Crown Iron Horse Stakes, and 4th in the G3 Monmouth Cup Stakes (his only Graded try) just two weeks ago.
Since being claimed, he's been running every 3-4 weeks and accumulated a 12-7-3-1 record, with the G3 4th place being his only off-the-board finish.

If J Z My Man got any of his daddy's speed, that combined with his dam's consistency and longevity would be impressive.

I wonder if the colt is big and a biter. Because when I think of a Megaladon, what I envision is huge with a mouth full of huge teeth.
I do hope that Palace Malice does well at stud; he was a fine racehorse and one of Curlin's best offspring.
