This might be interesting. Ekati's Verve (3 year old colt) makes his debut Saturday (8/3) in the 6th race at Saratoga in a MSW. Ekati''s Verve is a full brother to Tale of Verve (second to American Pharoah in the 2015 Preakness and now at stud) and Verve's Tale (graded stakes winner and multiple graded stakes placed and winner of 636K). I can't wait to see what kind of racehorse Ekati's Verve will be.

Martini Thursday (2 year old gelding) makes his debut tomorrow in a 5.5 F MSW race at Prairie Meadows racetrack for 32K. I think this will be the first 2 year old to race this year for Tale of Ekati.

Tomorrow is the day that Ekati's Verve will make his debut in a 90K 6.5F MSW race at Saratoga (race 6). I will not be terribly disappointed if Ekati's Verve does not win, despite the success of both of his full siblings. Tale of Verve and Verve's Tale both had some races before winning their first one.

Champagne Tale is entered in the 4th race at Ellis Park tomorrow, a 40K MSW race.

Martini Thursday (2 year old gelding) finished second in his debut in a 32K maiden race today at Prairie Meadows. The winner was Creekmore, the odds on favorite.

Ekati's Verve did not do much in his debut today finishing back in the pack at Saratoga. Doesn't look like he will be anything like his full siblings, but he might improve, I hope.

Champagne Tale was scratched from the 4th race at Ellis Park today.

Tale of Fire (4 year old colt) finished 2nd in a 38K allowance race at 5.5F at Laurel Park today (8/14).

Miss Understanding (2 year old filly) was scratched from her MSW race at Presque Isle racetrack today. (8/14)

Puffer Fish (3 year old filly) is entered tomorrow (8/15) in a 32K allowance race at 6F at Presque Isle Downs.

BTW, Tale of Vienna is entered in a 7F allowance race on turf at Woodbine tomorrow. The purse is $67,500.

Dark Vader, 4 year old multiple graded stakes placed colt, has not been on the work tab for over a month now. I had high hopes for him, but now it appears that he has some kind of injury. It could be that he is just getting a rest, but he only had two races this year, so I doubt that is the case.

If he is injured, then I hope it is minor. I would like to see him race again.
