Keep your eye out for a nw 3X allowance on the turf at Gulfstream. Reload is 1-1 on the turf, a 5-length win at Belmont. Check out these works since his last effort, which was on the dirt:

Beat the Drums finished 10th today in R10 at Gulfstream. Maybe she didn't like the yielding turf?

Ironicus (Distorted Humor - Meaghan's Joy) won the 7th (1 1/16 mile turfer) at Gulfstream today in his second start even though he hit the gate. Ragtime (Henny Hughes - Castanet) got up for third in his career debut earlier on the card (5th race at 6f on the dirt). And as noted elsewhere on the site, Honor Code is back on the work tab (3f in 39 flat).

Though no longer Phipps-owned, Boisterous worked out at Palm Meadows (3f in 37.55)

I don't remember reading that Boisterous had been sold. Do you know who purchased him?

Abaco (Giant's Causeway x Cat Cay) runs Saturday at Gulfstream in the Marshua's River Stakes (G3). I was hoping she was going to be retired to the broodmare band, but alas...

See page 5 of this thread. He sold at Keeneland November to Steven W. Young. The buyer seems to be an agent who has bought for multiple owners in the past.

Nice article about Mr Speaker's pedigree on The Bloodhorse site:http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/ ... -footsteps
Fingers crossed that Abaco adds another graded stakes win to her resume this afternoon!

Reload seems to run best when on or close to the pace. Glad to see that they ran him on the turf.

Ragtime just won the 5th at Gulfstream, a 6 1/2f 3yo MSW on the dirt. With a dirt sprinter (Henny Hughes) on top, a grass distance pedigree (Castanet by El Prado) on the bottom, this colt could, as they say, be any kind. ;)

IMAGINING circled the field and was second to LOCHTE, the longest shot on the board who got a dream trip. BOISTEROUS faded in the stretch and finished last.

At the top of the stretch I really thought she had a good chance to win it, but never really kicked in late - darn... I'm really hoping that she'll make it to the broodmare band...
