I've never been in love with Justify's conformation, and that photo doesn't change my mind. Heavy-bodied (esp. for a colt who hasn't been retired for even a year ) and over at the knees. I know he was fast, but he was also hard to keep sound. Not even Baffert could hold him together beyond four months.
If I had the fortune to spend for a breeding to a TC Champ, I'd go for AP over J every time.

Every time. He might not have been undefeated, but at least he had great form as a two year old which carried on at three, he raced more than six times, other than a foot bruise at two he was sound, he retired sound, etc..BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2019 1:42 pm I've never been in love with Justify's conformation, and that photo doesn't change my mind. As much as I agree that Justify is not the prettiest and that his soundness issues are...well issues, I would argue that confirmation does not a great stallion make. Look at Curlin, not the best confirmation and his foals really aren't the prettiest but boy can they run! I'm by no means saying Justify is the next Curlin though just to clarify

Since Justify is being well-supported by his various owner interests, he's going to have the best chance to prove himself as a sire.

I for one find Curlin a nice looking horse. He’s a bit stocky but he looks like a beast.
Justify does nothing for me, and one mare I would never send to him would be Songbird, with her conformational issues. Speaking of Songbird, who did they send her to this year? I must have missed it.
