When I hear "maven," I think of Martha Stewart.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

Pretty much. It's got too feminine a connotation for me.

Yeah, that really is a bummer. Thanks for the info. Rest well, Amandine.

Can Frankel and Midday deliver again with Compiegne debutante Daytime
Compiegne may not be the most prestigious racecourse in France but it plays host to the most blueblooded newcomer anywhere in Europe on Tuesday.

Daytime, a daughter of Frankel and multiple Group 1 winner Midday, is being introduced by trainer Andre Fabre in the Prix de Mercieres, a maiden over 1m4f for three-year-old fillies at the Picardy track (4.45 local time, 3.45 BST).

King Abner (Hansen x Margarita Salt), who is entered in the G3 Sexton Mile, is a great-grandson of Exclusive Rosette, making him a relative of American Pharoah.

I know we talk about 'breed-shaping stallions,' but what about the great broodmare Kind? The Danehill daughter gave us Frankel, his 3/4 brother Bullet Train, his full brother Noble Mission and a daughter, Joyeuse. Joyeuse is referenced above as the dam of first-out winner Jubiloso, and Noble Mission has a son, Code of Honor, in the Derby starting gate.
And I understand Frankel has been doing OK as a sire. :P ;)

Lady Pauline runs Weds at Ascot. Surprisingly, John Velazquez has the mount. That’s an awfully long way to go considering it’s Derby Week. I guess he really wants to hold on to the ride for Royal Ascot.

She finished second, beaten a length by 20-1 shot Ventura Rebel. The long trip from the States probably didn't help.

Honorable Memory, Honor Code's first starter o/o Embroidery (More Than Ready), finished fourth on debut.

She's from the family of Furthest Land, Ready For Eve, etc.

She finished 3rd, and I just read the chart - ran well, finished with "good energy". That's encouraging since I don't think HC will sire many sprinters....... She didn't take any money at all.

Yea she runs like her dad and came charging late and passed them all in the gallop out.
