Anyone know why Frivolous and colt have not left their stall?

Has she not gone out since she foaled? If not there are some reasons. It very well could be the colt has broken ribs

It wouldn't surprise me if there are some issues with the colt... when I watched the delivery video it seemed like they were really working on him to clear his airway & stimulating him to breathe, shaking his head/neck and checking his tongue (which seemed limp for awhile) & of course rubbing his sides/ribcage. Of course I am a total layperson but I wondered... he was a big boy too, big shoulders.

He didn't seem to have too much trouble getting up & down when I watched the evening before last, so hopefully it's something minor. *fingers x*

I loved Tiggy Wiggy when she was racing, and given the success that Galileo has had when crossed with sprinting mares, I wouldn't be surprised if that's our first look at the 2022 2,000 Guineas winner.

Lassofthemohicans delivered a filly. The live feed is down, but according to the foal patrol page, they will be back up after they " ensure the foal is receiving adequate antibodies to stay healthy. We will share the birth video and photo updates soon. "

Wow, that was fast! I looked in on her a couple of hours ago and she was all muddy & dozy, tail unwrapped, just like every other day this week.

Same. I went to a birthday party. Checked in when I got home and the feed was down and the announcement was on the foal patrol site.

Re mare Franny Nisbet (by Mount Nelson) Fun Fact: the widow of Josiah Nisbet, Frances Nisbet married an ambitious young naval officer named Horatio Nelson. Alas, her place in his affections (and elsewhere) was taken by the glamorous Emma, Lady Hamilton, and looking at her portrait, you can't blame him!

Lassofthemohicans delivered a bay filly by Candy Ride Saturday, April 6 at 10:06 p.m. After birth, the filly measured at 42 inches tall and weighed 124 pounds. The mare had a quick and easy delivery and both seem to be doing well at this time.

Conrad Bandoroff, Vice President at Denali Stud shares an update on Lassofthemohicans and her filly:

"We are thrilled with Lassofthemohicans Candy Ride filly. She has everything that we look for in a young foal with good leg and a nice frame to grow into. During the vet exam this morning following her foaling, the filly was discovered to have a couple broken ribs. This is not uncommon in good-sized foals. We will restrict the foal's turnout to a stall for 10 days to allow the ribs to heal. Turning out a foal with fractured ribs can be dangerous as the broken rib could puncture the lung if the foal is jumping and playing around. A vet will recheck and examine the filly later in the week to ensure they ribs are healing well."

Even while recovering, it looks like Lassofthemohicans19 is curious and friendly!

The full sister to Chasing Yesterday ( Tapit X Littleprincessemma ) arrived this morning at 2:00 am. Mother and daughter are doing great ! The dynasty continues!
