Aww, all these adorable foals, even if they are awkward looking!

Barbaro was a very pretty foal, and stood out to me, and Rachel was adorable with her running full speed.

It is just the angle of the photo or did Animal Kingdom have an Arabian-like dish face as a newborn?

Could be the angle, but I have seen a few TB's that have a Arab look to them.

Animal Kingdom still has a very fine-boned head, with a fairly small muzzle. That Arabian/Barb/Turkish foundation blood still shows up in the look of some TBs.

Tiznow sure was a strong looking foal right from the start.

Love seeing these foal pics -- this is a great thread. Many thanks to you all for posting.

He sure was, and he had a lot of presence, didn't he. Even in that picture when he was so new and he was standing so awkwardly, you can see his quality.

Just goes to show that looks don't make the racehorse. If I was to judge the yearling Mizdirection off that one photo, it would take a lot of convincing to make me believe that was even a Thoroughbred let alone a future champion.
