Septems (Vespone) has a lovely blonde mane to accent his rich red coat. The gray winner of the race is Flambeur (Mizzen Mast).

Beautiful... and come to think of it; I don't recall ever seeing another thoroughbred that was a chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail. Lots of other breeds; but just my misfortune I guess.

Other USA guys I can think of are All Included and Current, although IIRC only Current's mane is blonde.
Include apparently carries a gene for flaxen and several of his kiddos have gulastra plumes and special hair.

Striking contrast and on a thoroughbred's physique; thanks for posting these and i'll be off down the "rabbit hole" looking for the other ones now, lol!
There was a local quarter horse stallion that was registered a palomino that was almost a neon orange in the summer but not quite chestnut dark. His mane and tail was Debbie Harry blonde.

There was a horse who ran in SoCal that had a flaxen mane and tail. IIRC his name was Flame Thrower, but I think as he got older he lost the flaxen coloring.

I know sometimes it's how the photo can alter the coat color a bit but they almost look like dark or chocolate palominos. ( When they're sweaty) They sure stand out.

I remember Flame Thrower! I believe I remember a few other flaxen horses too from around that time period too... Stormello, Paddington, and Hap.

Stormello's hair was lighter at the roots but wasn't blonde other than that, based on Google images.Gemini wrote: ↑Sun Feb 24, 2019 12:44 amI remember Flame Thrower! I believe I remember a few other flaxen horses too from around that time period too... Stormello, Paddington, and Hap.
Can't find any photos of Paddington.
Hap sure was blonde though! PQ says he's at an Old Friends satellite operation now.

Mighty Boss upset the 2017 Caulfield Guineas at 100-1. He's very blonde.

I've seen Mighty Boss in a few races while watching Aussie racing on TVG. There is no missing him in the field.

She looks like a yearling and, if so, I'm sure her current awkward angles will smooth out as she continues to develop. But for now, suffice it to say she's not the prettiest Frankel youngster I've seen in other photos.ThreeMustangs wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2019 1:34 pm From Jess Samy’s Twitter account:

I like her! It looks like she's wearing a white sash & socks. They should name her Half-Dressed
(which would be better than Half Naked, LOL!)

Very attractive mare and foal. I don't know the correct term for such markings, so forgive me if I use "pinto" incorrectly, but it's interesting to see pinto-like Thoroughbreds. During my 72 years, I've seen thousands of Thoroughbreds, both live and in photos, and don't recall seeing such flashy horses until very recently. Candy Spots and Mongo are the only two I recall that had some white patches/spotting, but even theirs was not so pinto-like. I realize that DNA testing can now prove parentage with near total certainty, but it's hard not to wonder if somewhere along the way non-TBs were mixed into the lines producing such flashy horses these days.Miss Woodford wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 1:33 am Filly out of Alcudia (I Was Framed x Artzola; full sister to stallion Silvery Moon) by Juniper Tree (Galileo x Alexander Goldrun) foaled on February 27th
