I posted the Tweet above from Anchor&HopeStallions about the dummy foal because sometimes these sorts of things turn out okay but, sadly, sometimes they don't. Sorry I posted about him now. His mom, In Dad's Wallet, really impressed me by how attentive she was to him. Though he couldn't stand or nurse, they continually milked her and bottle-fed the colt while she hovered over him like she was cheering him on. Below is the comment on their Facebook post.

Sorry to report that this little guy was euthanized this afternoon . He developed multiple issues that pointed to neurologic problems. Mom is doing ok. Thanks for everyone’s positive thoughts and prayers !

Edited to add: the cams are back up now.
Thank you Sparrow Castle. Even though the news is heartbreaking, it's better to know than not. Poor little guy. Sometimes nature is a very hard master and all we can do is cry.

The weather may be dreary and the fields may be muddy but that certainly hasn't put a damper on the spirit of our new foals! This sassy filly is by Medaglia d'Oro out of Enhancing and is a 1/2 to 2018 Ky Derby runner Instilled Regard. @DarleyStallions #FoalFriday

Filly. Said it was a red bag delivery and both are doing well right now. They worked very quickly (cam went off for the birth) and will be monitoring closely.

Someone is in there now trying to help the filly to her feet but it's not going so well. :?

ETA: whew, finally up & appears to be nursing. She has some hock wraps/braces on, pretty unsteady back there at the mo. But she def seems to know where the milk bar is...

Ah, the explanation:
Comme Chez Soi delivers a filly
Comme Chez Soi
February 23rd, 2019

Comme Chez Soi delivered a filly at Old Tavern Farm early this morning, Saturday, February 23rd. Mom and foal needed some time to recover but they are both healthy and doing well.

Greg Daley, Director of Farm and Breeding Operations provided an overview of the delivery and how they are doing:

"Comme Chez Soi and her Malibu Moon filly are both doing well after what ended up being a distressing and potentially deadly red bag delivery. Fortunately, we were able to successfully deliver her foal and she is settling in well to life here at the farm.

Some of you may notice wraps on her hind legs she needs to develop some muscle tone in her hind end and we wrapped her hocks to protect them from getting sores while she learns how to get up and down. As with all of our young foals we will be keeping a close eye on her and we appreciate everyone tuning in."

Below is a video after her delivery, once everyone was deemed safe and healthy. Stayed tuned on her Foal Patrol site for live footage. They will be on camera until 9 p.m. tonight. We look forward to more video updates and photos in the next few days!

I posted this on Battle of Midway's thread in the Racing forum, but I meant to post it here. Long day, time for bed.

Catching up with Twitter and saw this...don't know the name of the dam.

Condolences to everyone who loved Battle of Midway. At least he will have a few foals to carry on his name. Here is a Battle of Midway filly photographed yesterday at Burleson Farm. She is strong, healthy and fast! @WinStarFarm @HarasDonAlberto
