I remember years ago seeing his stallion ads when he was standing at Three Chimneys Farm. If I recall he was a pretty chestnut. I don’t remember s whole lot other than the farm I worked on at the time had some mares by him in their broodmare band.tachyon wrote: ↑Sat Feb 16, 2019 10:54 am I saw a pick of Nodouble(USA) today on twitter.
I knew that he was the sire of Mairzy Doates(USA), the winner of the inaugural runnning of the Japan Cup in 1981.
She is one of my all-time favorites.
But this is the first time I come acorss a pick of her sire Nodouble.

Can someone tell me a bit more about Nodouble?

I would say one of his best contributions to the breed was siring the wonderful broodmare No Class.

Nodouble was the type of stallion who did not "hit" immediately. He benefited by being moved to Florida where he clicked with the pool of mares available there. In today's highly commercialized breeding environment, a stallion like Nodouble would have been dismissed quickly by the market. But in his day, patience was still a virtue in the breeding industry, so ten years after his first season at stud, Nodouble became the Leading Sire in North America. His rise to the top caused his owners to move him back to Kentucky in his later years. He stood at Three Chimneys during that later period and died there at the age of 25. He is buried at Three Chimneys.tachyon wrote: ↑Sat Feb 16, 2019 10:54 am I saw a pick of Nodouble(USA) today on twitter.

The Australasian breeding industry is mourning the loss of Group 1 winner and producer Sebring. The 13-year-old died suddenly at @widdenstud, where he retired after a glittering career on the track under the guidance of @StarTbreds and @GaiWaterhouse1.

I saw Silver Charm at Old Friends' day-after-the-Derby party--he was in the paddock next to the picnic area and loving all the attention. I didn't realize he was 24 at the time!
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

While it's possible that his connections wish World Approval were still a stallion because he was so good, not sure this is "Stallion News."

LOL. Sorry, I was posting quickly before I left for an appointment. I do wish the threads had their titles on all the pages.
