Make Music For Me, 4th in the 2010 #KyDerby, has been sold to stand in Ohio, per William Austin Nicks, who bought him at #KeeJan. Nicks said the new owner asked not to be identified.

If an owner wants their new stallion purchase to successfully attract mares, wouldn't you think he'd want to be identified? Or at least publicize which farm is standing the stallion?v :?

Maybe thinking of offering him only by agreement rather than a fixed fee? Or, quietly retiring him?

He didn't get many mares the first few years, none in 2017 and one in 2018.

Probably that, or they're keeping him as a private stallion of some kind.

American Lion has been adopted by Dr. Barry David, who helped save his life a few months ago.

~ Sticking this here since it deals with a stallion's retirement (and he hasn't been gelded for long).

Very glad to hear that he will be with someone that recognized the character of this horse when the chips were down
and was key to getting him well.

The Remarkable Journey of The Player
Every stallion has a story, but few own a tale as compelling as The Player's.

Since his days growing up on the Bradley family's Indian Ridge Farm near Frankfort, Ky., the charismatic chestnut colt has been beloved for his sharp mind and quirky, oddly laid-back disposition. As a racehorse, he propelled himself to elite company, winning multiple graded stakes and was seemingly on-track to grab the more elusive title of grade 1 winner.
