Mare and filly doing well. It is reported that she looks a lot like her sire.

Not sure if I remember correctly but I think hyperpigmentation only happens in foals that will turn gray. Since neither of this foal's parents are gray, there's a decent chance it stays that color.

Not sure if I remember correctly but I think hyperpigmentation only happens in foals that will turn gray. Since neither of this foal's parents are gray, there's a decent chance it stays that color.

I saw her on Facebook and was intrugued by her colour as well. She IS hyper pigmented like a grey foal would be. She has none of the typical foal buff/camo at all. I even had to double check Midnight Storm's colour LOL. Once in a blue moon you do see a black foal with no camo though. Rare, but it happens. Black foals are normally born a mousey grey colour.
