This colt just came up on my newsfeed on Facebook and noticed that marking on him! He is by I Am Invincible out of Primaluna (Charge Forward).

I believe that is called a blood mark, but I'm not sure since I've only seen "blood marks" on gray horses.

Awww I feel cheated, I don't think Rodney is in the pic. :-p

Then again I'm still LOLing over him training TBs (in an admiring way, like Michael Matz) when all I can think of every time I hear his name is reading my CoTH & Horse & Rider magazines with him & Idle Dice splashed over every page... love him! <3

:D
Sunday Silence(USA) sired Shirayukihime(JPN), an unexpected-white filly, out of a bay mare Wave Wind(USA)(by Topsider) in 1996.
That was just one of the miracles he performed as a thoroughbred. :D ;)
What a great horse Sunday Silence is!!!

You should see how much Almond Eye & Gentildonna returned on their racing syndication shares...

500 Shares x ¥60,000 each (USD$545)
7 starts for 6 wins (4 x G1) so far and ¥738,910,000 earnings (USD$6.7m)
One Share currently worth ¥1,478,000 (USD$13,500) a 2463% increase
#freakfilly
G @LongBallToNoOne Jan 21

GENTILDONNA was syndicated for racing (not breeding) by Sunday Racing. This time just 40 Shares at ¥850,000 (US$7750) each.
19 starts for 10 wins and ¥1,726,020,000 (USD $15.75mil)

Can Americans invest in these racing syndicates/clubs?

That would be so much fun to do. Is there s monthly maintenance fee or anything other than the initial investment, I’m sure there must be.

I think I remember reading somewhere that the JRA is strict about allowing foreigners to have owners' licenses. Besides Michael Tabart who owned Hana's Goal, Harry Sweeney who owns Paca Paca Farm, and of course Sheikh Mohammed, I don't know of a lot of non-Japanese owners. Maybe syndications are open to the greater, non-Japanese, public.
