Raising the Flag (Tapit x Milwaukee Appeal) won Race 8 at Gulfstream Park.

In the same race...

The Scotsman (Sky Mesa x Quiet Hope) was second. He's a half-brother to Squidward.

Hollywood Strike (Smart Strike x Hollywood Story) was third.

Another day, another Grade 1 winning offspring by Lord Kanaloa out of superstar Cesario.

Saturnalia won the G1 Hopeful Stakes for 2 year olds over 2000m at Nakayama today.

Saturnalia is the 9th foal out of G1 winning Champion Cesario. This makes him half brother to Japan Cup winner Epiphaneia (by Symboli Kris S) and G1 winner Leontes (by King Kamehameha).

Ahhhh I was hoping Saturnalia would do it, but it almost seemed like too much to hope for, that she would have yet *another* very good runner... so excited to see what's to come for him!

''Saturnalia is absolutely amazing. He might be the best son of Cesario. I almost want to make him a stallion right away (haha)'', commented Katsumi Yoshida.

As a sidenote, both Epiphaneia (Symboli Kris S) and Leontes (King Kamehameha) are fully booked for next season.

Have any of Cesario's fillies done well on the track? Even if they didn't become group stakes winners, I imagine they are still considered very valuable broodmares.

Cesario has three fillies of racing age listed on PQ.

Celia (King Kamehameha), a winner in five starts.
Rosalind (Symboli Kris S), a maiden in six starts
Viola (King Kamehameha), unraced.

The short answer is no, but you can take a look at her offspring on JBIS.

Viola died due to illness in 2011. :(
Celia (6-1-1-1) is still in training.
Rosalind's first foal Arden Forest (C2 by Rulership) is already a winner (3-1-1-0).
Rosalind was bred to Screen Hero this year.

No broodmare has ever produced 4 individual G1 winners in Japan.
I hope that Cesario will make history!!

I had a feeling Saturnalia would crush it; I saw a video of him working in my Twitter feed before the race and he looked beastly.

Cesario really has been a remarkable producer thus far.

Not That Brady 2016 G by Big Brown x Lisa's Booby Trap won the Damon Runyon Stakes (Black Type) today at Aqueduct. Pipes, 2016 C Exchange Rate x Introvert by Smarty Jones, finished 2nd. I think I read he's Cot Campbell's last purchase for Dogwood.

I was wondering what happened to Lisa's Booby Trap after she came up barren to the late Disco Rico a few years back, but I see she's been quite busy being a mother, producing foals by Big Brown and Tale of the Cat. Did she have her Hard Spun foal this year?

She had a filly by Hard Spun. KatieRich Farms is very good about sharing on both FB and Twitter. I can't follow everyone (unfortunately) but know where to look when needed.

Beautiful hip and shoulder on that filly. On a side note, Lisa's Booby Trap sire, Drewman, is a half to Lucky Pulpit, Chrome's sire.

She seems like a nicely built filly. It would be nice to see Balance get a good one. Wonder if they'll try her on the dirt.

Was just taking a look at the pps for GP7 today (nice race) and noticed that Megahertz has the #4 Amarone, a debut runner, starting. She's by Quality Road.

That race is pretty loaded. Also in:

Cambier Parc (Medaglia d'Oro/Sealy Hill)
Cap de Creus (Tapit/Light Jig (GB))
Haafilah (Bernardini), who's a granddaughter of Golden Apples
Wings of Dawn (Medaglia d'Oro/Juanita)
