I see that North Light, who Adena also sent to California to boost the program, got 39 mares this year.

IIRC he was only getting like 1 in Canada. If true then the move was quite good for him. According to the BH register he was moved back to Kentucky for 2019, however.

He didn't get many mares this year so was probably sold.

Roughly $8,550 in USD for Hawkbill. That's a steal for Hawkbill, even if he is unproven.

Aga Khan Studs
France
Siyouni - €100,000 (up from €75,000) - Laurens is fantastic and all... but $114,000USD for a stallion with only two G1 winners from 5 crops of racing age? And Laurens was the only G1 winner he had this year. His other G1 winner, Erveyda, retired at the end of 2016. They're profiting from a huge hype machine, but you don't have to do much digging to see that his fee just doesn't really add up.
Zarak - €12,000
Dariyan - €8,000

Ireland
Sea the Stars - €135,000
Harzand - €10,000 (down from €15,000)

Shadwell's Nunnery Stud
Muharaar - £30,000
Poet's Word - £7,000 - that is a STEAL
Tasleet - £6,000
Mukhadram - £6,000
Nayef - £5,000

That seems like a slap in the face for Accelerate (who of course doesn't care about his fee). It is more than his sire stands for, but still...

Hope he books full. Interested to see what mares he draws with his "unfashionable" pedigree.

How is Lookin at Lucky/Awesome Again unfashionable?

Or is anything not Into Mischief or Tapit unfashionable these days?

Bolt d'Oro will stand for $25,000 at Spendthrift. Seems a little steep to me.

Yeah, no thanks.

A confusing and sometimes irritating career that ends in an equally irritating way. He'll still cover 200+ mares, so there's that.

Nothing against the horse, but his connections are just... bleh.
